Novaerus Plasma in Portable Units

Novaerus’ innovative plasma destroys pathogens

Microscopic particles can travel on air currents throughout the room. Their small size can make many filters ineffective. Some of these pathogens survive other air purification systems. However, the high intensity and speed of our DBD plasma ensures destruction of viruses, bacteria, and molds at a DNA level.

The Novaerus plasma technology is rapid and the inactivation occurs immediately… Concrete evidence of the effect of plasma on airborne bacteria; strong chemical and structural changes are observed.

How does it work?

The Novaerus portable units use a low energy patented plasma that is highly destructive to the microorganisms entering the field. The plasma produces no harmful byproducts and requires no maintenance, making it safe for room inhabitants.

The plasma technology works twenty-four hours a day to reduce airborne viruses, bacteria, pathogens, mold, allergens and odors, all while using less energy than a 40 watt bulb.

The Novaerus Dielectric Barrier Discharge technology was evaluated at the NASA Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, tested globally in laboratories and implemented in healthcare facilities worldwide.

Understanding the power of plasma

Often described as the ‘fourth state of matter’ plasma is defined as an energized gas with an equal number of positively and negatively charged particles.

Plasma sterilization was introduced in Europe in the ’90s. The original method involved the ionization of hydrogen peroxide in a vacuum. However, cold plasma generated by plasma coils allows for the same antimicrobial effect at much shorter exposure times and without a vacuum.

  • Incredibly powerful and destructive physical forces relative to the size of the microorganisms
  • Components of Plasma eat away at the structure of the microorganism
  • All forces working together, at exactly the same time
